Sensational Tanzanian female rapper Rosa Ree has accepted the name Rosecoco coined by Kenyans in the ongoing Kenyan Tanzanian rap beef.

The rap beef started when Kenyan rapper Kahliograph Jones called out Tanzanian artists for not engaging in rap.

Consequently, his comments enlisted a mirage of responses from artists in the country.

Tanzanian artists such as Fido Vato and Harmonise responded to the 24-hour rap challenge issued by Jones.

Tanzanian artist Harmonise previously reminded Khaligraph that he drew inspiration from Tanzanian artists.

Consequently, Rosa Ree responded in a rap track titled Mama Omollo. Kenyans revelled at the ongoing beef taking sides and commenting online.

In these comments, the name reference “Rosecoco” came up. Kenyans on X had baptised Tanzanian rapper Rosa Ree “Rosecoco”

Previously in the year the term “Rosecoco” was trending for all the wrong reasons.

The word “rosecoco” means a type of bean but Kenyans online coined the word to refer the female genitalia. Need we say more?

-Khaligraph clears the Air on Tanzania-

The ongoing rap beef has enlisted many reactions across the border and back.

In an interview on “The Switch” at Wasafi FM, Khaligraph Jones states that he had been misinterpreted in an interview on issuing an apology.

He said his words were taken out of context and that he could not do much about it.

Consequently, he did acknowledge the reality that Tanzanian music tops the Kenyan charts on YouTube.

-Rosa Ree response-

In a post update, Rosa Ree stated that she did not feel the apology was direct and genuine.

She highlighted her top tracks; Up in the air, One Time, satan, I’m not sorry, and Blueprint being songs worth emulating.

She further stated that “Rap is about more than Clout!”

Khaligraph took to his Instagram to dispute Wasafi radios post that he had apologised and conceded defeat to Tanzania.

In brief, it seems the battle is on a truce and Rosa Ree might have taken the day. Do you think Khaligraph has conceded to Tanzania being better in hip-hop and Rap?
