Police in Naivasha Town have arrested seven persons suspected to be members of a dreaded gang that has been terrorising residents in the area.
The police officers and detectives from Naivasha Police Station acted on a tip off to intercept the seven suspects linked to a string of robberies in Naivasha Town.
At the time of their arrest, the suspects were were riding on a grey Mazda Demio car. Police also recovered a Retay Falcon Pistol.
The seven have been identified as; Patrick Handi, 45, David Muchina, 34, Grace Wanjiru, 33, Erick Kabiru, 32, Hassan Jamal, 32, Christopher Kimani, 30, and Ronny Muturi, 30.
“Upon a quick search, their weapon of choice, a sneaky Retay Falcon Pistol, was recovered concealed under the rear back left seat,” police say. “Although the pistol is designed not to fire live rounds and to be as harmless as a toy, it was the gang’s secret weapon.”
