Kenya national rugby sevens team head coach Kevin Wambua is set to name the travelling squad for the remaining two legs of the 2026 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Championship Series tomorrow (Friday, 22nd May).
The squad announcement will be made at Kasarani Stadium from 10:00 am after the team concludes its final local training session that will be held from 7 a.m ahead of departure for the European tournaments.
Shujaa will represent Kenya in the decisive legs scheduled for Valladolid, Spain, from May 29 to 31 and Bordeaux, France, from June 5 to 7 as they continue their push for promotion to Division One.
The Kenyan side has been in residential camp at Kasarani preparing for the crucial assignments, with the technical bench intensifying training sessions ahead of the back-to-back tournaments.
Shujaa head into the final rounds targeting a top-eight finish, which would secure automatic promotion to the 2027 HSBC SVNS division 1.
The team currently sits seventh overall on eight points following an encouraging performance at the Hong Kong Sevens, where they finished seventh.
During the Hong Kong tournament, Kenya reached the quarter-finals after defeating the United States in the group stage, before suffering defeats to New Zealand, Australia and South Africa in the quarters.
They later recovered to beat France and secure seventh place overall.
In Valladolid, Shujaa have been drawn in a difficult Pool A alongside South Africa, Australia and Great Britain.
