Sifuna fires up Linda Mwananchi supporters ahead of Homa Bay rally

Nairobi Senator and Linda Mwananchi leader Edwin Sifuna has urged supporters in Homa Bay to turn up for the movement’s upcoming rally, promising a brief but lively programme.

In a post shared on his X account on Thursday, August 13, Sifuna reminded residents of the event scheduled for Sunday, August 16.

“Kuwakumbusha tu…program ya Sunday ni fupi sana. Na kama huezi dance kaa tu home. Wabiro Omabei!” Sifuna wrote.

The message, which loosely translates to “Just a reminder, the Sunday programme is very short. And if you cannot dance, just stay home. We are coming”, appeared to set a light-hearted tone ahead of the gathering.

According to the event poster shared alongside his message, the Linda Mwananchi campaign will make three stops in Homa Bay County.

The programme is scheduled to begin at Nyandiwa at 10am, before moving to Sindo at noon and Homa Bay Town at 2pm.

The planned Homa Bay engagements come as the Linda Mwananchi movement continues to expand its political activities across Western Kenya.

In recent weeks, the movement has held rallies in several parts of the region, including Trans Nzoia and Bungoma, drawing large crowds of residents and attracting considerable political attention.

The Nairobi senator has increasingly used public rallies and social media to engage supporters as Linda Mwananchi establishes its presence in different parts of the country.
