Jihan Dimack has made history, beating 75 contestants to clinch the coveted Miss Grand International 2026 crown in Bangkok, Thailand!
Dimack outshone 75 other candidates from across the globe to succeed Filipino beauty queen Emma Tiglao, who won the title last year. The coronation ceremony was held at the MGI Hall at Bravo BKK in Bangkok.
From representing Tanzania at Miss Universe 2016 to reaching the pinnacle of global pageantry, Dimack’s triumph is a moment of pride for Tanzania and a milestone for Africa.
Her winning answer celebrated kindness, leadership and the power of a mother’s love, crediting her mother as her inspiration.
One crown. One historic moment. A continent celebrating!
East Africa to the world!
Jihan Dimack is a seasoned international pageant contestant who had already represented her African nation at the 2016 Miss Universe pageant that was hosted in Manila, Philippines.
During the question and answer portion, the finalists were asked: “In your opinion, what qualities should an empowered woman possess?”
The new titleholder answered: “I believe the quality she should possess is a kind heart. And to me, the perfect example is my mother. She’s a woman that is kind to others. She’s a woman that places others before herself. She’s a woman that is always ready to serve.
“To me, I believe that is a quality that allows you to lead with kindness, that is a quality that allows you to change the world, and that is a quality that allows you to reach to a person far beyond the physical, and that is through the heart. And I just want to say tonight, thank you mom for inspiring me to be that woman.”
As Dimack takes on the responsibilities of her new title, she joins the distinguished roster of Miss Grand International winners who have represented the organization’s message of peace and its advocacy against violence.
