“This year I’m a survivor of depression, I almost lost my life” Miss Njagi

Kenyan digital creator Miss Njagi has shared a powerful reflection on her journey through 2025, celebrating her milestones while opening up about her battle with depression.

In an emotional Instagram video, the content creator described the year as difficult but transformative, marking survival as her greatest achievement.

“Today I want to celebrate myself for the small wins I was able to achieve this year. This year was not easy for me but I made it through,” she said.

Njagi revealed that she nearly lost her life during her struggle, adding, “This was my greatest achievement this year. I’m a living proof that mental illness is invisible… I almost lost my life but I’m grateful I was able to overcome it.”

She went on to thank those who stood by her during her lowest moments, saying, “Thank you to everyone who was there for me during that period.

Beyond her personal healing, Njagi highlighted several professional and personal milestones. Among them was joining an investment-focused women’s group, launching her YouTube channel, and securing a red carpet hosting gig.

“I joined an investment help girls group that truly helped me grow… I started my YouTube channel and I’m grateful for my subscribers,” she shared.

The creator also celebrated major travel and career achievements, including trips to Rwanda and South Africa. “I travelled by myself to South Africa, fully sponsored by me,” she noted proudly.

She further revealed hitting 600,000 Instagram followers and investing in content creation tools, including the latest iPhone, a MacBook, and a DJI Osmo Pocket 3.

Despite facing health challenges, Njagi expressed gratitude for recovery. “I was sick this year but I thank God my stomach problems did not take my life,” she said.

She also acknowledged brand partnerships, opening two businesses, and deepening her faith.

“I decided to choose myself and always put my mental health first… I trust that 2026 will be even better,” Njagi concluded, inspiring many with her story of resilience and self-belief.
