Three robbery suspects linked to a series of violent attacks in Westlands and other parts of Nairobi have been arrested by detectives from the DCI Headquarters Operation Action Team following an intelligence-led operation in Kawangware.
The sleuths conducted the operation along Ngina Road, where they arrested Nimrod Khayeshe, alias Buba, as the first suspect.
Under interrogation, Khayeshe led detectives to his two accomplices, Vangelis Njungi, alias Vangi, and Patrick Kingato, who were swiftly arrested.
During the operation, detectives recovered a Retay Falcon pistol fitted with a magazine loaded with three rounds of 9mm ammunition.
Two motorcycles were also recovered, registration numbers KMGT 497W and KMHG 829H, believed to have been used as getaway bikes during the robberies.
All three suspects are currently in custody undergoing processing pending arraignment, while the pistol and motorcycles have been secured as exhibits.
