“Tusichome game” – Sakaja urges fans to embrace fan zones ahead of Kenya vs Zambia clash

With excitement building ahead of the much-anticipated clash between Kenya and Zambia, Nairobi Governor Sakaja Johnson has called on football fans to avoid attempting to force their way into the already full Kasarani Stadium.

Instead, he urged them to take advantage of the official Nairobi County fan zones established across the city.

Speaking on Sunday, August 17 morning, Sakaja emphasized that Nairobi County, in partnership with private companies, has rolled out several fan zones to ensure that everyone enjoys the game in a safe, fun, and affordable environment.

“We have created fan zones across Nairobi so that no one is left out. You can join one already set up at the National Archives and Uhuru Park, among others. Tusichome game let’s enjoy together responsibly,” Sakaja said.

The designated fan zones include the National Archives (CBD), Uhuru Park, among other areas, where hundreds of fans can watch the games on big screens.

“We want Nairobians to celebrate our national team in unity and joy, not stress and loss. Football is about community and spirit, and that’s exactly what these fan zones are about,” the Governor added.

Each venue will feature big screens, entertainment, and security to provide a stadium-like atmosphere for thousands of supporters.

Kenya will face Zambia in a crucial fixture that has already sparked national pride, with fans across the country gearing up to rally behind the Harambee Stars.
