TV47, the fastest-growing television station in Kenya, has made some new additions to its pool of talent.

In a bid to better itself and compete favourably in a dynamic field, the Cape Media Ltd-owned station has secured the services of seasoned TV host Debarl Inea, and its former CEO Abubakar Abdullahi.

The two powerhouse additions adds to a stellar on-screen team the station boasts, setting the stage for an electrifying coverage as media houses gear up for the 2027 General Elections.

Debarl, a veteran political broadcaster, makes a triumphant return to television after a two-year-long hiatus.

Known for his commanding presence on AM Live during his tenure at NTV and later KTN News, Debarl is set to ignite the screens again with a brand-new political show premiering soon, promising the audience hard-hitting discussions that will keep you glued to TV47!

Abubakar Abdullahi

Abubakar is coming back in the spotlight after stepping away in March 2023. Abubakar is poised to anchor a dynamic, fast-paced political talk show that promises to deliver the pulse of the nation with unmatched energy.

Abubakar first served as the Chief Editor and subsequently the CEO of Cape Media Ltd for four years.

During his tenure, TV47 was ranked the fastest growing TV in Kenya in the run-up to the 2022 General Election.

“I am also proud of the caring community we became. However. I have for personal reasons decided to leave the company and pursue other interests,” Abubakar said when he was taking a hiatus in March 2023. “You have offered me the support I needed to execute my mandate and I thank you all for that while requesting that you grant the same to my successor.”

With these trailblazers on board, TV47 is charging toward the future, ready to redefine political broadcasting.
