Cape Media Limited, the holding company for TV47, Radio47 and Digital47, has signed a partnership deed with AZAM.
The Signal Carrier Contract, signed on Friday, October 3 morning, will see the Tanzania-based Pay TV service carry TV47 Signal across the East African region and beyond.
TV47 is a vibrant national TV station that has, within a very short span of time, established enviable market niche through well-curated stories and programming that focuses on pertinent issues affecting our society; the “Untold stories’’ from the 47 Counties in the country and beyond.
According to a recent survey conducted by reputable research organizations, TV47 has been rated as the fastest growing station, joining top five TV Stations in the country.
This achievement is attributed to having customized content that resonates well with its target audience, having a dedicated workforce in all levels and championing effective flexible collaborations and partnerships with assorted stake holders.
On the other hand, Azam is a well-grounded—number one in the region— Satellite Pay TV Operator with an international footprint.
“Let me take this opportunity to applaud Azam for not only diversifying their coverage across our territorial boundaries (Tanzania, Malawi, Uganda, Zimbabwe among other African Countries) but also for offering variety of high-quality content ranging from Politics, Sports, Reality Shows, High Quality Soaps, Special Features and Compelling Documentaries that resonates well with Africans and the World at large,” Cape Media Limited CEO Mwenda Njoka said during the signing of the partnership deed at Cape Media offices in Muthaiga North, Nairobi.

Azam TV has bagged the exclusive rights (English and Kiswahili) to broadcast FKF Premium Legue- Kenya, NBC Premier Legue, LaLiga, Serie A, Roshan Saudi Legue, Bundesliga, Carabao Cup, Coppa Italia amongst other premium rights.
With these exclsuive rights, it means that when TV47 viewers subscribe to the Azam platform or acquire Azam decoders, they will have an opportunity to watch local football leagues, as well as African and international leagues not available on other content distribution platforms.
Ideally, Azam’s package rates are among the most affordable in the market, which is good news to TV47 viewers.
To ensure the partnership remains mutually beneficial, Cape Media will provide optimal publicity of AZAM initiatives and offerings in all its platforms— TV47, Radio47 and Digital47.
“We commit to work day and night to sensitize the public the advantages of acquiring Azam Decoders. In addition, we look forward to partnering with Azam in all our ground activations for mutual benefit going forward. From today, Team AZAM know that you have a partner who will hold your hand and together, we scale new heights,” Mwenda assured.
Among those who attended the event from Azam include; Mr. Ravi Kumar Andugula- Country Head, Azam, Mr. Suneel Sagar- Head of Finance & Admin, Azam, Mr. Martin Abuya- GM Sales, Azam, and Mrs. Juliet Maina- TV Production Coordinator, Azam.
