Police in Moyale, Marsabit County, have arrested two suspects who were found in possession of two AK47 rifles and 34 kilograms of bhang.
In a multi-agency operation in Butiye area, Adan Jilo was arrested with an AK47 rifle, three rounds of 7.62 x 39mm ammunition, a magazine and 16 kilograms of cannabis sativa in his residence.
In a similar operation in Odda area, Toto Issack Dika was also arrested.
“Upon search of her home, officers discovered another AK-47 rifle, two rounds of 7.62 x 39mm ammunition, a magazine, and 18 kilograms of cannabis sativa,” the Directorate of Criminal Investigations says in a report.
Both suspects, along with the recovered items, were escorted to Moyale Police Station.
They are currently undergoing processing in preparation for their arraignment.
