Two men arrested after police find a gun, bullets marked in Ethiopian italics

Police in Moyale Constituency, Marsabit County, on Sunday, February 18 arrested two people in possession of a gun and four bullets within Sessi area.

The two suspects, identified as Dhenge Guyo Molu and Kotor Ali Jillo, were riding on a motorcycle when the police officers flagged them down.

Upon a quick search, the officers found an Eckol pistol and four rounds of ammunition marked in Ethiopian italics.

Also recovered was cash in Kenyan currency amounting to KSh83,000 and Ethiopian Birr 169,995.

Police say the exhibits and the suspects are in police custody, as the DCI Transnational Organized Crime Unit (TOCU) investigates.

The National Police Service has commended the members of the public for their cooperation that led to the success of the operation.
