Police have launched investigations into the disappearance of one Ali Waqo, the Isiolo County Government’s Acting Director of Revenue Services.

Waqo was reported missing two days ago, according to Isiolo Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) Christopher Siele.

Reports indicate that unknown persons picked outside his residence in Chechelesi area on Wednesday, May 14 at around 5 pm.

Siele said that the phone of the missing director will be used to facilitate investigations.

The family of Waqo and some residents on Friday, May 16 walked to the DCC’s office to push the government to initiate and speed up investigations on the matter.

Felusa Ali Godana, the victim’s daughter, said that the family has forwarded a list of names to the security agencies who she alleged are suspected to have been having work related conflicts with her father.

Mohamed Godana, a brother to Waqo, alleged that his colleagues in the county’s revenue department were plotting the disappearance.

Another person, Abdullahi Bosso, was reportedly abducted by individuals believed to be security officers along the Kinna–Kulamawe Road on Friday, May 16.
