Kenyan musician Willy Paul has accused popular Tiktoker Collo Blue of stealing his creative concept to release the viral song “Up Burukanga.”

The gospel-turned-secular artist, whose real name is Wilson Abubakar Radido, claims he originally sent the track to Collo Blue back in October 2025 with plans to collaborate on a joint project.

According to Willy Paul, the idea was for them to create a challenge together and shoot a music video that would push the song across social media platforms.

However, things didn’t go according to plan.

The collaboration never materialized, and the music video was never shot.

What has now upset Willy Paul is that Collo Blue allegedly went ahead and used the concept anyway, releasing “Up Burukanga” without giving him a heads up or proper credit.

Taking to his Instagram platform to air his grievances, Willy Paul didn’t hold back, directly calling out the content creator while maintaining he still considers him a friend.

“Collo Blue, you’re my bro but hapa haujatenda haki, I sent you this song on the 9th of October 2025 utengeneze challenge tupush pamoja. We didn’t shoot the music video. Sai you just sliced my idea and made Burukanga. You should have asked me before doing it,” Willy Paul wrote.

The musician’s post suggests that Collo Blue took elements from Willy Paul’s original track “Brr Bad” and transformed it into the now-viral “Burukanga” without seeking permission or having a conversation about it first.

The “Burukanga” song has been gaining significant traction on social media, which may have prompted Willy Paul to finally speak out about the alleged creative theft.

As of now, Collo Blue has not publicly responded to Willy Paul’s accusations.
