Youth group backs President Ruto’s second-term bid, cites housing and fertilizer price cuts as key achievements

The youth of Nairobi, united under the banner of #NikoKadiNaRuto, have come together today to show their solidarity and support for President William Ruto.

Speaking at an event held at Anniversary Towers, Nicholas Galgalo, National President of Bunge la Mwananchi emphasized the government’s commitment to delivering meaningful transformation and highlighted the purpose of the ‘Tuko Kadi’ initiative in backing the president’s bid for a second term.

Addressing criticisms directed at President Ruto, he asserted that opposition against him is not based on his performance in office but rather stems from ethnic bias and animosity related to his names, Ruto and Kipchirchir.

He highlighted the government’s success in constructing 273,000 housing units, describing this achievement as an undeniable fact.

Galgalo also applauded the reduction in fertilizer prices, noting that before President Ruto took office, fertilizer was sold at Ksh 7,000, but it is now available at Ksh 2,500.

Additionally, he pointed out that approximately 100,000 teachers have been hired under the current administration, demonstrating the government’s commitment to the education sector.

He further spoke about ongoing infrastructure projects, specifically mentioning the Mau Summit – Rironi road as one of the key developments currently underway.

Emphasizing the importance of unity and continued progress, Galgalo urged Kenyans to appreciate the president’s efforts and to remember that the journey, the work and the transformation all continue.
