Zuchu dismiss claims of being booed during her performance at Kasarani

Tanzanian singer Zuchu has dismissed claims that she was booed by Kenyans during her performance at Kasarani Stadium, describing the trending videos as edited propaganda meant to tarnish her image.

A clip has been circulating online showing a crowd loudly singing Kenya’s national anthem, which some users are alleging it was an act of protest against Zuchu’s set.

The video sparked mixed reactions on social media, prompting the WCB star to come out and set the record straight.

Taking to Instagram, Zuchu questioned the authenticity of the claims, saying:

Show yangu iko YouTube na ilikuwa live. Laiti kungekuwa na hiko mnachokisema, yaani live nzima ingekosa hio moment?”

She went on to call out bloggers and media outlets for spreading misinformation without verifying facts .

Despite the backlash, Zuchu maintained that her brand and reputation remain intact, crediting her faith and supporters:

She ended her response with a sharp remark to critics, saying they only had “15 minutes of fame” from the fabricated story and urged them to enjoy it while it lasts.
