Kenyan actress Foi Wambui has taken a bold step in her faith journey after being baptized, a move she describes as a rededication of her life to Christ. The beloved screen star, who has been open about her Christian faith in the past, marked this as a fresh chapter in her spiritual walk.
Foi revealed that she first gave her life to Christ several years ago, but in January 2024, she chose to fully surrender to Him on her bedroom floor and a year later, on February 3rd 2025, she re-dedicated her life to him.
Her baptism, which took place on 31st August 2025, symbolized a deeper commitment and renewal of her faith. In photos shared online, Foi is seen dressed in white, surrounded by church leaders in a pool, smiling joyfully as she lifted her hands in celebration after the baptism.

Speaking about the milestone, Foi expressed gratitude for the opportunity to start afresh and reaffirm her devotion. “Like a wedding ring, this is my public declaration of my faith, my justification of sanctification with Christ. I couldn’t have asked for more perfect time,” she said.
Her decision has been met with overwhelming support from fans, colleagues, and fellow believers who flooded social media with congratulatory messages. Many applauded her for publicly living out her faith in a world where young people often face pressure to compromise their values.
Foi’s baptism adds to the growing number of public figures in Kenya who have openly embraced Christianity and used their platforms to inspire others. For her, this moment is not about fame, but about obedience and realignment with her spiritual calling.
As she begins this renewed chapter, Foi hopes her story will encourage others who may feel distant from their faith to remember that it’s never too late to rededicate their lives and start again.
