The body of a Kenyan police officer who was killed while serving in the Multinational Security Support (MSS) Mission in Haiti has arrived in the country.
The body Corporal Kennedy Mutuku Nzuve was received by National Police Service (NPS) officers and his family at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Friday, September 27 night.
The NPS fraternity was led by the Commandant of the National Police College Embakasi ‘A’ Campus, Isaac Alimaa, SAIG. The fallen officer’s family was led by his mother, Serah Nzuve, during the solemn occasion.
Corporal Nzuve tragically lost his life in a road traffic accident on 1st September 2025 during a peacekeeping operation in the Caribbean nation.
“The National Police Service conveys its deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the fallen officer and assures them of its unwavering support during this period of profound sorrow,” NPS says.
Following the reception, the body was transferred to Chiromo Mortuary for preservation.
Burial arrangements will be communicated at a later date.
Also present at the reception were the Commandant of the RDU, Mr. Aggrey Shamala, AIG; the Director of Medical Services for the APS, Madam Lilian Kanini, AIG; the Chief of Staff for the APS, Mr. Haron Nthiga, AIG; and the NPS Spokesperson, Mr. Muchiri Nyaga, AIG.
