Chelsea qualified for the FA Cup quarterfinals following a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Leeds United at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.

Following their recent defeat in the Carabao Cup final, Chelsea faced another tough challenge, starting poorly with Moises Caicedo’s error leading to Mateo Joseph’s early goal for Leeds.

However, the Blues rallied before halftime, with Nicolas Jackson and Mykhailo Mudryk finding the net to turn the tide in their favour. Leeds fought back strongly in the second half, with Joseph scoring his second to level the score.

Despite Leeds dominating proceedings, it was Chelsea who snatched the win. Conor Gallagher clinched a dramatic 90th-minute victory converting a smart pass from Enzo Fernandez.

The victory was a sigh of relief for Mauricio Pochettino and Stamford Bridge, setting up a quarter-final clash against Leicester.

Chelsea, despite enduring a challenging season, remain in contention for silverware as they aim to salvage success from what has been a difficult campaign.
