Court orders mental assessment for four suspects linked to the murder of Dr. Victoria Thunya Mutiso

Four suspects have appeared before the court and charged with the murder of Dr. Victoria Thunya Mutiso.

The suspects are Angela Mulwa, Rose Mbithe Mulwa, alias Rose Mbithe Ndetei, Chris Mulwa and Elijah Kibelion Kimoi.

The four appeared before Justice Kanyi Kimondo at the Milimani Law Courts, where the murder charge was read to them.

However, they did not take a plea, as only the information contained in the charge was read to them.

The court has directed that the suspects undergo a mental assessment before they are presented before Justice Alexander Muteti, where they are expected to answer to the murder charge.

The court further directed that Elijah Kibelion Kimoi be provided with legal representation.

The four are accused of jointly murdering Dr. Victoria Mutiso on July 29, 2026, at about 9:30 a.m. along Mawensi Road in Kilimani, Nairobi County.

According to the prosecution, the suspects allegedly acted jointly with other persons who have not yet been brought before the court.

They face a charge of murder contrary to Section 203 as read with Section 204 of the Penal Code.
