Diana Wacera: Harambee Starlets midfielder joins Greek giants

Former Kenya Police Bullets midfielder Diana Wacera Mwihaki has taken a major step in her football career after joining Greek women’s club Olympiacos Women.

Olympiacos has announced the signing of the 28-year-old midfielder, who was born on 6 July 1998. Standing at 1.73 metres tall, Wacera will wear the number 21 jersey at the Greek club.

Wacera leaves Kenya with considerable experience in domestic football. The midfielder has won three Kenyan Women’s Premier League titles and one CECAFA title.

Wacera played for Kenya Police Bullets from 2023 to 2026 and was part of the squad that won the 2025/26 FKF Women’s Premier League title.

The 2025/26 campaign also saw Wacera score important goals. In December 2025, she scored against Trinity Starlets, taking her tally to eight goals at that stage of the season. She also scored in Police Bullets’ 3–0 victory over Zetech Sparks in October 2025.

At international level, Wacera is a Harambee Starlets player and was involved in Kenya’s 4–0 victory over Uganda in 2025, scoring a goal and providing an assist.

Her move to Greece is also historic because, according to Olympiacos, this will be Wacera’s first experience playing football outside Kenya.

Wacera now begins a new chapter of her career with Olympiacos, where she will look to use her domestic and international experience as she continues her football journey in Europe.
