EACC has obtained orders for the forfeiture of assets worth KSh207,741,928 held by one Andrew Biketi Musuya, a former accountant at the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation and the County Government of Trans Nzoia.
In a judgment delivered on October 8, 2026, Lady Justice Rose Ougo of the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Court found that Musuya had failed to satisfactorily explain the disproportion between the assets he acquired and his known legitimate sources of income.
The forfeited assets comprise:
- Prime properties in Mombasa and Bungoma valued at KSh150,209,000
. Two 5-storey apartment blocks in Mtwapa, Mombasa County
. A 5-bedroom townhouse in Mtwapa; and
. Seven undeveloped parcels of land in Mombasa and Bungoma - Cumulative bank and M-Pesa deposits amounting to KSh53,532,910
- Two motor vehicles valued at KSh4,000,000

EACC investigations established that between January 1, 2013, and October 31, 2018, Musuya accumulated assets valued at KSh289,932,910. These comprised cumulative bank and M-Pesa deposits of KSh53,532,910, landed properties valued at KSh226.8 million, and motor vehicles worth KSh9.6 million.
The Commission instituted proceedings under Section 55 of the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Act (ACECA) to recover KSh284,087,664 in assets deemed disproportionate to his known legitimate sources of income, which he could not satisfactorily explain.
The court found that Musuya had failed to explain the source of KSh207,741,928 and ordered the amount to be forfeited to the State.
The commission says it remains committed to recovering unexplained wealth and safeguarding public resources for the benefit of kenyans.
