The third day after a Kenya Defense chopper crashed, claiming lives of 10 officers including the Chief of Defense forces General Francis Ogolla, all roads lead to Siaya County for the burial of Kenya’s CDF.
According to his family, General Ogolla is set to be buried on Sunday April 21, 2024 at Mor village in Siaya County.
The motorcade escorting the General’s body, left the Memorial Hospital along Raila Odinga road at around 6 am heading to Embakasi Garrison airport where it was airlifted to Nyanza.
At exactly 8am, the body arrived at the Kisumu International Airport and thereafter taken to Senator Obama Primary School for the church service.
Thereafter the final send off will be at his home in Mor Village and will be attended by invited guests only.
Top government officials in attendance include Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula, CS Public Service Moses Kuria, Azimio principal Martha Karua and former Murang’a Governor Mwangi Wa Iria.
The event will be presided by President William Ruto.
