The 2026 Italian Grand Prix at Monza produced one of the most exciting Formula 1 races of the season. Kimi Antonelli delivered a stunning comeback to win his home race in front of passionate Italian fans.

Antonelli started the race from 19th on the grid after receiving a penalty linked to a power unit change. However, he quickly moved through the field and showed impressive speed and confidence.

The race was also interrupted by a red flag after Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc crashed on the second lap. Fortunately, Leclerc was able to walk away from the accident. After the restart, Antonelli continued his charge toward the front.

Most importantly, Antonelli became the first Italian driver to win the Italian Grand Prix since Ludovico Scarfiotti in 1966. Therefore, his victory ended a 60-year wait for an Italian home winner at Monza.

For Ferrari, the weekend was much less successful. Leclerc retired after his crash, while Hamilton could only finish sixth. The result was particularly disappointing because Ferrari was racing in front of its home supporters.
