Detectives from Ruai have arrested three suspects believed to be behind a disturbing scheme in which young women were lured through TikTok into physical meetings before being gang-raped and robbed of their valuables.

Preliminary investigations established that the suspects allegedly operated an anonymous TikTok page, using it to initiate contact with victims and arrange meetings.

Once the women agreed to meet, they were allegedly led to secluded or abandoned areas where the encounters turned into ordeals of sexual violence and robbery.

In some cases, victims were allegedly forced to transfer money via M-Pesa to accounts controlled by the suspects, while others had their mobile phones and other valuables taken.

Following a forensic trail, detectives descended on the Benedicta area in Ruai and arrested Emanuel Bosire Arisa, Ismail Ouru Arisa, and Brian Gatheru Nderitu.

Six mobile phones were recovered from the suspects alongside two hooded jackets allegedly used to conceal their identities during the attacks.

The three have since been positively identified by five victims in separate incidents reported in Buruburu, Embakasi, and Ruai, pointing to a potentially wider criminal network.

Detectives are continuing to follow the evidence trail, trace other possible victims, and pursue additional individuals who may be linked to the gang.

The DCI has urged members of the public, particularly young people, to exercise caution when interacting with strangers online, to always meet in safe, public settings, ensure a trusted person knows their whereabouts, and never allow someone met online to lead them to a secluded or isolated location.
