The battle for points in the 2026 SportPesa National Sevens Circuit moves to Nairobi this weekend, with the pools for the 37th edition of the Kabeberi7s now confirmed.

The two-day tournament will be held on August 15 and 16 at the RFUEA Grounds, with teams looking to strengthen their positions in the national circuit standings.

Hosts Mwamba RFC will begin their Division One campaign in Pool B, where they will face Strathmore Leos, Nondescripts RFC and CUEA Monks.

CUEA Monks secured their return to Division One after winning the Division Two title at the Dala7s.

Kenya Harlequin headline Pool A and will be up against Daystar Falcons, Kisumu RFC and Impala RFC.

Pool C features Dala7s runners-up Menengai Oilers alongside Zetech Oaks, Blak Blad and Mombasa RFC.

A strong Pool D brings together Kabras Sugar, defending Kabeberi7s champions KCB Rugby, MMUST and Nakuru RFC.

The Division Two competition will also feature a number of sides fighting to move up the circuit rankings.

Embu RFC, who dropped into Division Two after the Dala7s, have been placed in Pool A with AP Warriors, Cooperative University and Mean Machine. Mean Machine will be making their first appearance in this year’s circuit.

Pool B consists of Stallions, KCA University, MKU Nairobi and Makueni Ravens, while NYS Spades, Ngong Warriors, JKUAT Cougars and USIU-A will contest Pool C.

Kabarak University, Northern Suburbs, Stormers RFC and Homeboyz RFC make up Pool D.

The women’s tournament will feature two pools, with defending champions Mwamba RFC leading Pool A. The hosts will face Pioneer Ladies, NYS Ladies and Northern Suburbs.

Pool B brings together Kenya Harlequin, Impala Roans, Kisii Polytechnic and Mbagathi Staines.

The Kabeberi7s is the third stop on this year’s SportPesa National Sevens Circuit, giving teams another chance to accumulate points as the competition for the overall circuit honours intensifies.
