Kenya’s Chief of Defence Forces General Francis Ogolla was among the 10 military officers who perished in a helicopter crash on Thursday, April 18 afternoon.
CDF Ogolla was on a working trip in North Rift region with fellow military officers when the helicopter they were travelling with crashed at the border of Elgeyo Marakwet and West Pokot counties.
The nine officers who died together with General Ogolla were Brigadier Swale Saidi, Colonel Duncan Keittany, Lieutenant Colonel David Sawe, Major George Benson Magondu, Captain Sora Mohamed, Captain Hillary Litali, Senior Sergeant John Kinyua Mureithi, Sergeant Cliphonce Omondi, and Sergeant Rose Nyawira.
