Kenyan marksmen delivered an impressive performance at the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) Level Three Handgun and Pistol Caliber Carbine (PCC) Championship held at the Hado Shooting Range in Naivasha, Nakuru County.

Ibrahim Ndung’u emerged as the Production Division champion, while Pravir Vohra claimed top honours in the Standard Division. South Africa’s Johan Otto was the only foreign winner, taking the Optics Division title.

Morris Mureithi triumphed in the Production Optics category, Issa Issa secured victory in the Open Division, and Agatha Muchiri was crowned the High Lady champion after a strong performance throughout the four-day competition.

The championship attracted more than 60 elite competitors from the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), National Police Service (NPS), Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Kenya Prisons Service, General Service Unit (GSU), and civilian shooting clubs from across the country.

Organisers hailed this year’s event as one of the most competitive editions, noting that it highlighted the continued growth and rising standards of practical shooting in Kenya.

“This year’s event has gone a notch higher, showcasing the growing depth, resilience and professionalism of practical shooting in Kenya,” the organisers said.

They added that the competition demanded exceptional precision, speed and composure from participants.

“There was no room for hesitation or any miss as the competitors raced against both time and the target. The winners have greatly reflected the depth of talent on display,” they said.
