Former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has been officially invited to the prestigious 3rd Edition of the UNIPGC Global Leadership Investment Summit and Peace Awards (GLISPA), set to take place at the House of Lords, British Parliament, London, on September 26, 2025.

Sonko, who will attend as both a keynote speaker and award recipient, was selected in recognition of his illustrious political career, transformational leadership, and capacity-building prowess.

According to the organizers, his contribution to governance and his influence in bilateral and multilateral economic relations earned him the honor.

The summit, organized by the Foreign Investment Network (FIN) in partnership with the American University of Peace and Governance (AUPG, USA) and the United Nations International Peace and Governance Council (UNIPGC, USA), will bring together global leaders to deliberate on Public Service Governance and other leadership themes.

According to a letter sent to Sonko, during the event he will deliver a lecture in the Joint Institutional Panel Session and later be conferred with the Leadership Excellence Award, which will be presented by a member of the House of Lords.
