Leaders from Narok County have reaffirmed their commitment to development and unity during a thanksgiving ceremony held in honour of Assistant County Commissioner (ACC) Moses Koin in Olerien, Lolgorian Ward, Kilgoris.

The ceremony was attended by Narok Governor Patrick Ntutu, who served as the chief guest, alongside several national and county leaders.

During the event, leaders highlighted the progress being made across Narok County, particularly in infrastructure and transport. Key projects mentioned included the expansion of road networks, the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) and the development of the Narok Airport.

The projects are expected to improve connectivity, open up previously underserved areas and create more economic opportunities for residents across the county.

Speaking during the ceremony, the leaders also praised the Maa community for its continued support of the government. They expressed confidence that the community would continue backing President William Ruto as the country pursues its development agenda ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The leaders emphasised that sustained development requires cooperation between national and county governments, local leaders and communities.

They called for unity and collective responsibility to ensure that ongoing projects are completed and that residents of Narok benefit from increased investment and improved infrastructure.

Among those who attended the ceremony were Hon. Silvanus Osoro, Hon. Leo Wa Muthende, Hon. Dorice Donya, Narok County Assembly Speaker Davis Dikirr, Members of the County Assembly (MCAs), political aspirants and other leaders.

The leaders said continued collaboration would be key to unlocking Narok’s economic potential and improving the lives of residents across the county.
