NCBA pledges KSh12 million for return of Kenya Motor Show

The Kenya Motor Industry Association (KMI) is set to revive the Kenya Motor Show after a four-year break, with NCBA committing KSh12 million as the title sponsor for the 2026 edition.

The three-day NCBA-KMI Motor Show will be held from November 27 to 29 at the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi, bringing together vehicle manufacturers, distributors, mobility companies, automotive service providers and motoring enthusiasts.

The return of the event is expected to provide a platform for automotive players to showcase new vehicles, technologies and mobility solutions while giving consumers an opportunity to interact directly with industry players.

Among the brands and companies confirmed for the show are Mobikey, Isuzu, Tireworld, Tata Africa Holdings Kenya, Auto Express, Kingsway, ECTA Kenya Limited, CFAO, Simba Corp and Inchcape.

NCBA Group Managing Director John Gachora said the bank’s involvement reflects the growing importance of financing in Kenya’s automotive sector.

Arvinder Reel, Chairman, Kenya Motor Industry Association (KMI) and NCBA Group Director and Asset Finance and Business Solutions – Lennox Mugambi officially launch the NCBA-KMI Motor Show 2026.

He added that NCBA commands more than 30 per cent of the market in vehicle and asset financing, positioning the bank as a key player in enabling vehicle ownership and supporting businesses.

“The NCBA-KMI Motor Show provides an important platform for understanding the trends shaping the future of mobility and allows us to continue supporting customers throughout their vehicle ownership journey with financing solutions tailored to their needs,” he said.

KMI Chairman Arvinder Reel said the association was keen to build on the public interest witnessed during the previous edition of the Motor Show.

“We are excited to bring the NCBA-KMI Motor Show back and build on the strong public interest witnessed at the previous edition,” Reel said.

He said this year’s event would provide exhibitors, partners and visitors with an opportunity to engage with the automotive sector while allowing consumers to explore new products and services.

Reel also welcomed NCBA as the title sponsor, noting the role of financing in supporting vehicle ownership and the wider mobility ecosystem.

The Motor Show comes at a time when Kenya’s automotive market is undergoing changes driven by evolving consumer preferences, business needs and emerging mobility technologies.

For motoring enthusiasts and members of the public, the event will offer an opportunity to view the latest vehicles, compare mobility solutions and engage with industry experts.

The organisers said more exhibitors, partners and details on activities planned for the three-day event will be announced ahead of the November showcase.

The NCBA-KMI Motor Show 2026 will run from November 27 to 29 at the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi.
