Liam Payne’s family, friends, and former bandmates came together to honor the late One Direction star at his funeral in England on Wednesday November 20, 2024, a month after his tragic passing at the age of 31.
He died following a fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson, who rose to superstardom alongside Payne as part of Britain’s most successful boybands, were present at the service in Amersham, northwest of London, to pay their respects.
Following the service, music mogul Simon Cowell, who was instrumental in forming the group on The X Factor in 2010, offered his condolences to Payne’s parents, consoling them in their grief. Cowell had played a key role in shaping the band’s early success.
