Police recover stolen church items after suspects flee during patrol in Dandora

Two suspects escaped arrest early Tuesday, April 21 morning after abandoning stolen items from Full Gospel Mission Church in Mowlem, Nairobi, when they spotted police officers on patrol near Dandora Bridge in the Mwengenye Saika area.

Officers from Obama Police Station in Kayole Sub-County were conducting a routine early morning patrol when they noticed the two individuals acting suspiciously while carrying luggage along the bridge.

The moment the suspects realized they had been spotted, they dropped everything and took off on foot before officers could arrest them.

A search of the abandoned items revealed assorted household goods and electronic equipment, along with a metal bar that investigators believe was used to break into the church.

Preliminary investigations traced the stolen property back to Full Gospel Mission Church in the Mowlem Powerline area.

Police are now pursuing the two suspects, with investigations ongoing to identify and arrest those responsible for the break-in.
