Open AI the U.S. based artificial intelligence research organization founded in 2015 that brought us Chat GPT has now come up with an AI model that is able to understand and simulate the physical world in motion.

The Organization has recently introduce Sora a model that translates text to videos that are up to a minute long while maintaining visual quality and adherence to the user’s prompt.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman on X invited users to suggest prompts for Sora before posting results that included realistic videos.

The hyper-realistic quality of videos prompted stunned reactions across social media, with users calling the results “out of this world” and a “game changer”.

OpenAI said it intends to train the AI models to “help people solve problems that require real-world interaction.

This is the latest effort from the company behind the viral chatbot ChatGPTwhich continues to push the generative AI movement forward. Although “multi-modal models” are not new and text-to-video models already exist, what sets this apart is the length and accuracy that OpenAI claims Sora to have, according to Reece Hayden, a senior analyst at market research firm ABI Research.

The product is still getting safety tested among select users, and isn’t available yet to the general public. But Altman gave a few people a chance to see their prompts brought to life using Sora.

“We’d like to show you what sora can do, please reply with captions for videos you’d like to see and we’ll start making some,” Altman tweeted shortly after the company announced the new product on Thursday.
