Embattled former ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has again moved to the Political Parties Tribunal by an amended complaint seeking that the tribunal quash the decision by the Registrar of Political Parties that ratified the resolution by ODM NEC of 22/06/2026 to remove him from the party’s SG position.

The ODM NEC had acted on a decision by the ODM Disciplinary Panel which Sifuna opted not to participate in alleging bias.

The Tribunal chaired by Gad Gathu on July 21, 2026 ordered that the complaint be heard on 18/08/2026.

Sen Sifuna is represented by SC Okero while the ODM Party is represented by Sam Makori and Ken Amondi.

Meanwhile, the ODM Party has opposed Sifuna’s complaint on the grounds that ; the allegations of bias against the disciplinary panel are mere speculation; the disciplinary process was lawful and fair; the complainant chose not to participate in the process and finally that the Tribunal lacks jurisdiction to quash or prohibit the decision of the Registrar of Political Parties made in exercise of her statutory authority.
