It appears that mistrust is rocking the United Opposition camp, more specifically the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP), if a social media post by Kirinyaga County Woman Representative is anything to go by.

The county MP took to her social media pages on Thursday, March 12 morning and made serious allegations against DCP Deputy Party Leader Cleophas Malala.

“Cleophas Malala, I am aware that yesterday, between 8.00PM- 10.00PM, you met a section of MCA’s allied to Governor Anne Waiguru from Kirinyaga County at Golden Palm Kenol,” Njeri wrote, insinuating that a deputy leader of Rigathi Gachagua’s party, a serious proponent of the ‘one term’ movement, was meeting with members allied to ‘tutam’ brigade.

The youthful lawmaker alleged that the agenda of the said meeting was to create a formidable group that will focus solely on fighting Gachagua’s foot soldiers in Kirinyaga County.

“I’m also aware that the agenda was to create a splinter group to fight H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, EGH’s foot soldiers in that county,” Njeri added. “You facilitated the MCA’s in attendance with Kshs. 20,000; monies you obtained from persons who seek to derail the agenda of the people and the united alternative government.”

Njeri added: “I do not know what personal vendetta you have with leaders supporting H.E [Gachagua] in 020 [Kirinyaga County] and I want to say this publicly so that it is on record. You are aware that we have had private meetings over this issue so excuse my lack of discretion on this as you’ve now crossed the rubicon.”

She went on to accuse Malala of being notorious in soliciting money from individuals, even when he was the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Secretary-General.

“You infamously had the bad habit, as SG in your former party, of soliciting money from all everyone and anyone for favors, unfortunately, it seems that you have not changed one bit. So bring it on, you shall face off with me where the rubber meets the road. Incase you forgot, where I come from, we milk lions while seated on porcupines. I shall treat you with the contempt you deserve going forward.”

By the time of going to press, the former Kakamega Senator was yet to respond to Njeri’s accusations, at least not publicly.

In his last public engagement in Ruaka, Nairobi County, Malala reiterated that “Sending home President Ruto’s regime alongside each of its operative remains a prioritized assignment each citizen is determined to execute.”
