U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a warning to Iran, saying he has already given instructions to the American military to respond if there is an attempt to assassinate him.
In a post shared on his social media platform, Trump claimed that the U.S. has prepared for a possible military response, stating that “1,000 Missiles are Locked and Loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands of more to immediately follow.”
Trump said the action would follow if the Iranian government acted on what he described as threats to kill the sitting U.S. president, adding that “Orders have already been given, and the U.S. Military is ready, willing, and able.”
He further warned that American forces were prepared for a prolonged operation, saying they had the capability “to completely decimate and destroy all areas of Iran” for a period of one year, subject to extension.
The remarks come amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, with relations between the two countries remaining strained over security issues, Iran’s nuclear programme and wider geopolitical disputes in the Middle East.
Trump’s latest statement has raised concerns over possible escalation, as any direct military confrontation between the United States and Iran could have wider regional and international consequences.
