Detectives from Kasarani Police Station, Nairobi County, have recovered 200 assorted mobile phones from an abandoned iron sheet store in Viken Thirty Village following an intelligence-led operation.
After receiving a tip-off, detectives surrounded the building and found 200 mobile phones inside, including 120 working phones and 80 that had been dismantled.
Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) detectives processed the scene thoroughly to ensure all evidence was properly collected.
The recovered phones have since been transported to the National Police Service Forensic Laboratory, where the Cybercrime and Digital Forensics Unit will conduct forensic analysis to trace their rightful owners.
Detectives are actively pursuing intelligence leads to identify and arrest the individuals behind the phone theft syndicate.
