“Good schools, clean water, jobs for youth,” – 7-year-old Adrian steals the show at National Conversation Beyond 2030

Seven-year-old Adrian Gweth Ombuni captured attention after sharing his vision for Kenya at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi, on Wednesday, 12th August, 2026.

Speaking during the National Conversation Beyond 2030 forum at KICC, Adrian painted a picture of the Kenya he wants to grow up in and hand over to the next generation.

“My dream for Kenya; I would like to see good schools for all children, good hospitals for everyone, clean water for every home, clean roads everywhere, more jobs for young people, happy and safe families, clean towns and cities, more trees and green spaces, our animals protected, peace in Kenya,” he said.

Looking ahead to the year 2060, when he will be 41 years old, Adrian made clear that his hopes are not just personal but for every Kenyan child who dares to dream.

“In 2060, I will be 41 years old.  I want to grow up in a happy and safe Kenya. I want Kenya to be a country where every child can dream and achieve their dreams,” he told the President.

“Thank you, Mr. President. God bless you.”

In less than two minutes, Adrian addressed issues that many Kenyans have raised for years, speaking with clarity and confidence.
