The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has received election materials ahead of the upcoming by-elections scheduled for May 14, 2026 in different parts of the country.
The electoral agency confirmed that preparations are underway for the Emurua Dikirr parliamentary by-election in Narok County, Porro Ward by-election in Samburu County, and the Endo Ward by-election in Elgeyo Marakwet County.
According to IEBC officials, the voting materials received include ballot papers, ballot boxes, voter registers, indelible ink, and other essential polling equipment needed to ensure a smooth and transparent electoral process.
The commission has assured residents in the affected areas that all logistical arrangements are on course ahead of the exercise set to take place on Wednesday, May 14.
Security agencies and election officials are also expected to coordinate closely to maintain peace and order during the voting process.
Residents eligible to vote have been encouraged to verify their polling stations and turn out in large numbers to exercise their democratic right.
