Kipchoge goes jogging on the Great Wall of China, attends Kung Fu classes

Kenyan marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge is currently on his tour in China courtesy of his sponsors.

Kipchoge expressed his deep gratitude for the warm welcome he received at the INEOS headquarters in Beijing, sharing his admiration for the global team’s dedication to pushing boundaries.

“I’m grateful for the warm welcome at the INEOS China headquarters yesterday. It was inspiring to see the incredible innovation and dedication behind this global team. Thank you for sharing your vision of pushing boundaries and achieving greatness together,” Kipchoge wrote on his social media platform.

Kipchoge’s visit to China is not just about athletics. He took to one of the world’s most iconic landmarks, the Great Wall of China, where he had the unique privilege of jogging along its historic paths.

“It felt special to run here because you are running on history itself,” Kipchoge shared. “Every step felt symbolic, a reminder of the power of human ambition and determination.”

His journey through the ancient structure was made even more remarkable thanks to his partnership with Nike Running, which facilitated the experience.

In addition, Kipchoge connected with students from Jinan University in Guangzhou, alongside Chinese sprinting sensation Su Bingtian.

At the same time, Kipchoge got a chance to mentor young athletes in China and hear their inspiring stories.

“I believe that the younger generation holds the future,” Kipchoge remarked. “It was amazing to meet so many people and hear their inspiring stories!”

Kipchoge’s cultural immersion continued with a Kung Fu session, where he had the opportunity to train in the ancient art. He expressed his excitement at engaging with the children from Xiehe School, embracing the cultural exchange with open arms.

“I loved connecting with the kids from Xiehe School. I truly believe that the younger generation holds the key to the future,” he said.
