“Marriage is a bad contract”- Rapper 50 Cent on love, divorce and the cost of starting over

Rapper 50 Cent has sparked a candid conversation about marriage, divorce and the emotional toll of relationships, arguing that marriage can feel like a “bad contract” when things fall apart.

Speaking on The Raw Life Review Show, the rapper described marriage as one of the biggest investments a person can make – demanding time, energy and commitment. But when the relationship breaks down, he says, the real struggle begins.

From divorce battles to child-support disputes, 50 Cent said former partners can find themselves locked in endless disagreements, repeatedly asking one another: “What more do you want from me?”

For 50 Cent, marriage starts like a contract with agreed terms, but when things go wrong, those terms can become a never-ending negotiation.

“The person you thought was significant enough to make you significant to others, that’s the only purpose of marriage. Outside of that is a bad contract,” he said.

His blunt take has reignited a bigger question: When love ends, what happens to the friendship, family and promises that remain?
