Two families in Machakos County are demanding justice after their three sons were killed under unclear circumstances in Machakos Town on Sunday, May 31 morning.

The three brothers, Kennedy Muthungu, aged 29, Stanley Muthungu, aged 22, and their friend Charles Mutiso, aged 25, died after being beaten and burned to death at around 4 am by alleged boda boda riders.

The two families are demanding that the Machakos Criminal Investigation Departmemt conduct intensive investigations to establish the root course of the matters.

According to autopsy conducted on the bodies, the three died from burn injuries and suffocation caused by smoke.

Police have since launched an investigation to determine the truth after initial reports claimed the three were involved in an attempted car theft before being caught by angry members of the public. The families deny the claims.
