The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Chairperson Gladys Wanga has assured party members of a transparent and credible nomination process ahead of the upcoming elections.
Speaking in Sero TVC, Wanga, who also serves as the Governor of Homa Bay County, said all aspirants seeking the party’s ticket will be given an equal opportunity to participate, with voters expected to ultimately decide the final candidates.
She noted that the party leadership has directed aspirants to actively engage with voters at the grassroots level to build support, underscoring the importance of the electorate in determining ODM candidates.
At the same time, ODM reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding party unity and strengthening its internal structures, describing the protection of the party as a top priority.
Wanga further emphasized that the party will defend its supporters and traditional strongholds while working to maintain its parliamentary strength. She also called on members to uphold discipline and mutual respect throughout the nomination process.
