Political communications strategist Pauline Njoroge has resigned from the Jubilee Party, ending a 14-year association with the former rulling party and announcing that she will now dedicate her efforts to the Linda Mwananchi movement.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Njoroge said she had stepped down from both the Jubilee Party’s National Executive Committee (NEC), where she served as Deputy Organizing Secretary, and from her membership in the party with immediate effect.
She reflected on her political journey, which began in 2012 when she joined The National Alliance (TNA) as Communications Manager before the party merged with the United Republican Party (URP) to form the Jubilee Party.
Njoroge described the past 14 years as transformative, saying they had shaped her career in politics and strategic communications.
“I therefore wish to announce my resignation from the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Jubilee Party, where I have served as Deputy Organizing Secretary, and as a member of the Jubilee Party, effective today,” she said.
She also paid tribute to former President Uhuru Kenyatta, describing him as a mentor, teacher and political father who entrusted her with leadership responsibilities and exposed her to governance experiences both locally and internationally.
“I remain profoundly grateful. As I embark on this new chapter, he will continue to be a valued source of wisdom and counsel,” she stated.
Njoroge revealed that she has been part of the Linda Mwananchi movement since February, saying her conviction had grown that it offers a platform to champion good governance, constitutionalism, accountability and servant leadership.
She added that her decision also aligns with the broader WANTAM movement, which she described as a call for national renewal centred on integrity, constitutionalism and people-focused leadership.
According to Njoroge, Linda Mwananchi is committed to defending the rule of law, protecting human rights and promoting leadership rooted in service and accountability.
