Police in Webuye West, Bungoma County, have arrested a suspect and recovered 288 bundles of suspected cannabis sativa concealed in Napier grass.
The suspect was intercepted along the Bukembe – Malaba Highway while riding a motorcycle loaded with the fodder.
Officers followed the rider and stopped him at Dina Flyover, where they searched the consignment and discovered the suspected narcotics hidden among the dried grass.
The suspect is being held pending arraignment, while the recovered drugs have been secured as exhibits.
Police have urged the public to continue sharing information on suspected criminal activities to help fight drug trafficking.
