Police looking for KFS officer who ‘defiled’ Form 2 girl

Police in Tindiret, Nandi County, are looking for a Kenya Forest Service (KFS) officer who allegedly defiled a 16-year-old girl on Sunday, March 17.

A report filed at Meteitei Police Station says that Nixon Mwangi grabbed the girl as she was fetching firewood at Kipkurere Forest, before dragging her to his house and committed the vice.

“Nixon Mwangi is said to have chased away a group of girls from the forest where they were picking fallen wood debris, catching up with the unlucky Form II student from a local school,” the report reads in part.

The girls who managed to escape are said to have informed their parents, who sought the help of other KFS officers in locating the suspect’s house.

“When they finally got to it, the suspect is said to have fled leaving behind the victim,” the report adds.

The girl was rescued and escorted to hospital for medical attention.
