Former American professional tennis player Serena Williams has welcomed a baby girl with her husband, Alexis Ohanian.
In an Instagram post, her husband broke the good news to fans and followers. He said, “I’m grateful to report our house is teaming with love: a happy & healthy newborn girl and happy & healthy mama.”
The 41-year-old former pro athlete is a second-time mom, with daughter Olimpia Ohanian being the firstborn.
The couple introduced the new addition to their family together, “Welcome, Adira River Ohanian,” he wrote in the caption.
Williams broke the news of her pregnancy at the 2023 Met Gala, sporting a visible baby bump in a body-fitting Gucci dress.
Williams made her intention clear in a very emotional retirement statement, where she shared her intentions
“I’m here to tell you that I’m evolving away from tennis, toward other things that are important to me. A few years ago I quietly started Serena Ventures, a venture capital firm. Soon after that, I started a family. I want to grow that family.”
Alexis thanked Williams for giving him “another incomparable gift“ praising her as the GMOAT (Greatest Mon Of All Time)
