TV47 ranked sixth nationwide weeks after editorial revamp

Cape Media ltd is in a celebratory mood following the recent GeoPoll release ranking TV47 among the top television stations in the country.

In the latest rankings, GeoPoll ranked the stations based on their cumulative audience within seven days (3rd September to 9th September 2023).

During this period, TV47 had a cumulative audience of 6,885,000.

In an internal brief on Wednesday, September 14, Cape Media Chief Operations Officer Wilson Mbugua congratulated all the staff for making the fete possible.

“I take this opportunity to congratulate the entire Cape Media fraternity for your unwavering collective contribution to ensure that we firmly position ourselves in the Kenyan media space,” read the brief in part.

“Congratulations on making TV47 one of Kenya’s top TV stations. We continue marching forward.”

Citizen TV was ranked first with 22,861,000 viewers.

NTV, whose parent company is, Nation Media Group ranked second with 10,680,000.

KTN and KTN News whose parent company is Standard Group ranked third and fourth with 9,268,000 and 9,113,000 respectively.

Morning show host Fred Indimuli pops champagne to celebrate TV47 top ranking.

Maisha Magic East ranked fifth with 8,451,000 viewers.

Others were Supersport with 6,686,000, K24 with 6,620,000, KBC with 6,443,000, and Triple P with 5,450,000.

Inooro TV, Akili Kids, UTV, Ramogi and Zee World also ranked top 15.
