Police in Garissa Town have arrested two suspects wanted in connection with a series of robbery with violence incidents.
The arrests were made as police stepped up a security crackdown targeting criminal activities in Garissa and its surrounding areas.
Police say the two were arrested following actionable intelligence and are currently being held at Garissa Police Station pending arraignment in court.
The National Police Service says the operation is part of ongoing efforts to maintain law and order and improve security in the town.
Police have thanked members of the public for their support and urged residents to report suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
